My latest pattern Lightning Strike Shawl.
It is a knitted asymmetrical triangle shawl, it uses 2 different stitch patterns and is intended for DK weight yarn.
This is my 'sibling' pattern to a crochet version of shawl Bolt (which was published in the book 60 Quick Crochet Projects for Beginners.

Welcome new knitting pattern Lightning Strike Shawl.
This is a 'sibling' pattern to my crochet shawl Bolt. Same idea and design, only in different craft.
Lightning Strike Shawl is an asymmetrical triangular shawl, that works from a tip with constant increases on one side. Regularly alternating sections of a lace stitch pattern and horizontal ribbing are finished with several bind-off stitches to create a zig-zagging edge.
The shawl has several loops on the widest side. These loops work as a fastening, push the narrow end through the loops and you don’t need to tie the shawl or use the shawl pin to hold the shawl in place.

Talked last time during Monthly Live chat that I learned a new way to work Slip-slip-knit (SSK) stitch, and had plenty of practice with my orange tee, so here's the quick tutorial how to do SSK without actual slip&slip
Do you work SSK in 'non traditional' way? If yes, how do you prefer to do it?

In the video I worked yarn overs between SSK, because pattern called for it, ignore them, they are not part of actual SSK stitch 😊

Talked last time during Monthly Live chat that I learned a new way to work Slip-slip-knit (SSK) stitch, and had plenty of practice with my orange tee, so here's the quick tutorial how to do SSK without actual slip&slip
Do you work SSK in 'non traditional' way? If yes, how do you prefer to do it?

In the video I worked yarn overs between SSK, because pattern called for it, ignore them, they are not part of actual SSK stitch 😊

A little bit about the yarn for my latest design #LacyAndShortSkirt
For this design, I needed:

🧶 something light, but not too thin;

🧶 because it is for warm summery days, a cotton or a cotton blend would be a great choice;

🧶 needed something soft, so the fabric would be flowy;

🧶 it would be nice to have a great selection of solid/tonal colors.

The yarn Bamboo Pop by @universal_yarn covered all the checkmarks.
#universalyarnbamboopop is a 50/50 cotton and bamboo blend DK weight yarn. It is light and breezy, great for projects in the warm weather. The yarn has a good twist, is very soft, and with a little bit of shine from the bamboo. It produces crochet and knit fabric that drapes easily. Absolutely great to work with, perfectly slides on the hook without any splits. Thanks, Universal Yarn for providing the yarn support for this design.
