Big Ravelry event for knitters and crocheters
Have you heard about Gift-A-Long 2022?
The Indie Gift-A-Long is a huge Ravelry event with many participating designers and many more knitters and crocheters. And this year I joined this event with my designs.
According to GAL statistics, the total number of designers is 230, 170 of them are knit designers, 17 are crochet designers, and 43 use multiple crafts. So, I’m one of the 43 who design for knitters and crocheters.
The Gift-A-Long is going from November 22nd till December 31st 11:59 pm Eastern US time.
During this time everyone who would like to participate can join the GAL Ravelry group, and start making projects. If you would like to be considered for prizes, the projects should use patterns from participating designers. You can read all the rules in the GAL group.
There are also all kinds of fun extra things during the Gift-A-Long. Games, Instagram challenges, of course chatting with fellow crafters and designers. You can join different threads in the group and choose, what you would like to make.

This year it’s the 10th anniversary of GAL, and it is an extra thread for those who can make 10 projects with patterns from 10 different participating designers.
During the week from Nov. 22nd, 5 pm till Nov. 28, 11:59 pm Eastern time, the big bundle of patterns was on sale (link not working anymore), any pattern in the GAL bundle was 25% off with coupon code.
The bundle was big, but it was easy use advanced search to look for some specific items.
I added to this bundle 14 of my designs.

I’m not only participating as a designer, I’m joining some of the KAL/CAL too.
It was hard to go through all the patterns in the bundle, but I added some of them to my favorites and already started making a project. What I’m making, I’ll share it later on Instagram. But here, I would like to share some of my favorites in different categories.
